- Recipe and planning content you import, create, save, or organize, including recipe text, recipe URLs, imported content, ingredients, instructions, folders, meal plans, grocery lists, nutrition information, user-uploaded photos, images, and related metadata.
- Purchase and subscription information, such as purchases, trials, subscription status, entitlements, restore-purchase results, and subscription-management data.
- Usage and diagnostic data, such as feature usage, product interactions, app version, device and app diagnostics, performance signals, and crash logs if crash reporting is enabled.
- Website usage information, such as page views and clicks on CookClip landing pages.
- Support communications you send through email, forms, or our support channels.
CookClip lets you manually save and organize recipes without creating an account.
If you sign in, CookClip can sync your recipes and other saved content across devices and provide AI-powered recipe imports.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and secure CookClip features, including sync when you sign in.
- Authenticate users and maintain account security.
- Sync recipes, folders, meal plans, grocery lists, and other saved content across your devices when you choose to sign in.
- Process recipe links, recipe text, imported content, meal plans, grocery lists, nutrition information, and photos when required to provide app functionality.
- Manage purchases, trials, subscriptions, entitlements, and restore-purchase flows.
- Measure product usage, feature usage, app reliability, and performance so we can improve CookClip.
- Respond to support requests and communicate product updates.
- Monitor quality, reliability, and abuse prevention.
3. Services That Support CookClip
CookClip works with trusted service providers to run the app and website. They support:
- Account sign-in and account security.
- Cloud sync for signed-in users.
- Feature flags, app configuration, and plan limits.
- Product usage analytics, feature usage, app lifecycle events, and performance measurement.
- Crash reports and diagnostics, if crash reporting is enabled in the app build.
- Purchases, trials, subscription management, entitlements, customer info, and restore purchases.
- App install measurement, app activation measurement, and advertising campaign effectiveness.
4. Install Measurement, IDFA, and ATT
CookClip uses app event measurement only for app install measurement, app activation measurement, and advertising campaign effectiveness.
- Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) is not collected.
- Advertiser ID collection for this measurement is disabled.
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission is not currently requested.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate CookClip, such as authentication, sync, analytics, subscriptions, crash diagnostics, backend processing, hosting, and customer support.
6. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. If you request data deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law. If you delete your account, we will delete your account information and associated cloud data within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law or necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

- Create a free account to sync recipes across devices and access AI-powered recipe imports.
- Choose whether to use third-party sign-in when it is offered.
- Manage subscriptions and trials through your Apple App Store account.
- Use Restore Purchases in CookClip to refresh your entitlement status.
- Manage app permissions in your Apple device settings.
- Request data export or deletion by contacting us.
- Opt out of optional product communications.
