Weekly meal planning with saved recipes, pantry items, and a shopping receipt

CookClip weekly meal planner filled with saved recipes

Real example

A weekly plan with breathing room

You do not need seven elaborate dinners. Anchor the busy days, use leftovers deliberately, and leave room for the night that changes.

Monday · quick dinner

Add the 25-minute salmon recipe you already know. Put “defrost after breakfast” in the day notes.

Tuesday · leftovers

Add a flexible meal label instead of another recipe. The plan stays honest and avoids duplicate shopping.

Wednesday · prep ahead

Plan lentil soup and note that the vegetables can be chopped on Tuesday evening.

Friday · intentionally open

Leave the day unplanned for takeaway, friends, or whatever ingredients remain.

From library to week

Keep planning attached to the actual recipe

A note that says “pasta” still leaves you searching at 6 p.m. A recipe-linked plan carries the ingredients and method with it, so the next action is obvious.

Plan a range, not your whole life

CookClip includes tools to share or clear selected date ranges. Reset a changed week without dismantling the plans you want to keep.

1. Curate before planning

Favorite dependable recipes or make a Weeknight collection so planning starts with plausible options.

2. Add recipes to specific days

Use flexible meal labels when you need a plan without a full saved recipe.

3. Add day notes

Record defrosting, prep, substitutions, reminders, or who will be home.

4. Prepare Grocery

Open each planned recipe, choose the ingredients to add to Grocery, then remove what is already in the kitchen.

FAQ

Meal planning questions

Can I plan meals from my own saved recipes?

Yes. Add recipes from your CookClip library to days in the meal planner and return to the full recipe when it is time to cook.

Does the meal planner create a grocery list?

Not as one automatic batch action. Use the plan to settle the meals, then open each planned recipe and choose the ingredients to add to Grocery.

Can I add a meal without attaching a recipe?

Yes. Flexible meal labels and day notes help account for leftovers, takeaway, eating out, prep reminders, or an undecided meal.

Is meal planning included in CookClip Free?

Meal planning is a CookClip Pro feature. Free users can still save and organize recipes with collections, tags, and favorites.
