Tap the + button to add a recipe from a link, pasted text, or a photo, or create one manually. Review the draft before saving it to My Recipes.

Save recipes from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, websites, photos, screenshots, handwritten recipes, or your own notes. CookClip turns them into clean, organized recipes you can review, edit, and save.

Open Settings > Import Recipes. Choose Import from CookClip for a CookClip ZIP backup, or Import from Crouton for a Crouton ZIP or .crumb file. Review the imported, duplicate, and failed counts before removing your original copy.

Open Settings > Export Recipes to create a CookClip ZIP backup. Save or share the file, and keep CookClip open until the export finishes. Available local recipe photos are included. Restore the ZIP through Settings > Import Recipes > Import from CookClip.

Some pages and videos leave out ingredients, timing, or servings. Check the draft, add anything missing, and save when it looks right.

Some websites put banners or sign-in prompts in front of the recipe. In the import browser, close anything covering the recipe if you can, then tap Import Recipe.

Collections are groups of recipes you choose, like weeknight dinners, baking ideas, or family favorites. If you used folders before, they now appear as collections.

Open Library (My Recipes), then tap See All beside Collections. Use + to create a collection. Open a collection and use its menu to rename it, change its icon, or delete it.

Tags help you filter recipes across collections. Open Library, tap See All beside Collections, then scroll to Tags. Use + to create a custom tag and Edit to rename or delete custom tags.

Yes. Open the recipe, tap the menu button, then choose Edit.

Open Library and tap the frying-pan button for What can I cook today. Add ingredients you have, then search for matching saved recipes. Signed-in Pro users can also generate recipe ideas and explore online results when available.

No. Cuisine, dietary, time, skill, and note preferences are used for AI-generated recipe ideas only. Saved recipe matches are ranked by ingredient coverage, and online discovery uses your selected ingredients.

Recipe view groups items by the recipe they came from. Category view groups active items into shopping sections. Switching views only changes how the list is shown.

Yes. Everyone can place saved recipes onto their week and keep cooking plans organized. Pro also lets CookClip generate a meal plan from your dates, recipes, and preferences.

Smart Import uses AI to read the recipe text, link, or photo you provide and turns it into a draft with ingredients, steps, timing, and servings when available.

Yes. Edit ingredients, steps, timing, servings, or notes before saving. The draft is yours to adjust.

Not always. Some websites block reading, and some videos do not include enough recipe details. You can still enter the recipe manually.

CookClip may use OpenAI and DeepSeek for selected AI features. Depending on your location and provider availability, some requests may be routed directly to DeepSeek where OpenAI is unavailable or unsupported; DeepSeek may be used as a fallback elsewhere.

Only when the requested feature needs online AI processing, such as Smart Import or recipe ideas. CookClip sends the content needed for that feature, and AI output should always be reviewed before use.

CookClip supports English, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, Polish, and French. On first launch, it uses your device’s primary language if supported, or English otherwise.

Open Settings > App > Language and choose a language. The interface updates immediately without restarting. CookClip remembers your choice, even if you later change the device language.

No. It changes CookClip’s interface and help text. Recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, notes, and your collection names stay as you saved them. Imported content and AI-generated results may use the language of their source or request.

You can read recipes already saved on this device and use the bundled FAQ offline. Recipe photos may need to be downloaded first. Smart Import, online search, AI generation, and Cloud Sync need an internet connection.

You can add and save recipes on this device while signed out. Sign in with Apple or Google to sync your library across devices and manage purchases.

Yes. Sign in and keep Cloud Sync on to sync your recipes, collections, tags, meal plans, and grocery lists across devices tied to your CookClip account.

CookClip saves your data locally on your device first. When you are signed in and Cloud Sync is on, changes are synced with your CookClip account.

Deleting the app may remove local data from this device. If Cloud Sync was on, sign in with the same account after reinstalling to restore your library.

CookClip Free includes recipe saves and a Smart Import allowance, sync, collections, tags, favorites, sharing, manual meal planning, grocery lists with automatic organization, and saved recipe matching. Sign in to add grocery items or import ingredients from recipes. Check the app for your current recipe and import limits.
